My Life in VL

In order to get everyone a little more acclimated, I thought I'd post this slide show of my life in VL. Hope you enjoy it, Fizzy

This is me, Fizzy Oceans. The photo was shock by UK photographer Jay Johnson and graces the cover of DR's novel.

Who is Fizzy Oceans?

Fizzy Oceans is the digital alter ego of Amy Birkenstock.

What does Fizzy Oceans see and do?

The Exodus

Hurricane Katrina

Virtual New Orleans

The Tragedy of Darfur

The Battle of Gettysberg

Who does Fizzy meet on her travels through Virtual Life?

Author Mark Twain, who returns from the dead to deliver his first lecture in more than 100 years!

Captain Jacqes Yves Cousteau, famous undersea explorer and environmentalist, who invites Fizzy and friends aboard the Calypso and warns of impending environmental collapse!

And the Dalai Lama, who shows Fizzy her most essential self!

But how can such things be possible?

After all, Amy Birkenstock is a normal girl who is just trying to get along...

You mean we're living in more than one dimension at the same time?

Yes, I've been there!

Fizzy visits such places as Ancient Rome, The Hanging Gardens of Babylon, The Hopi Pueblo at Old Oraibi...

What do the Hopis know that the rest of Mankind does not?

Do they possess the key to another world where they mean to go when the world goes...whoosh!

In Physical Life, Amy's world sometimes seems like too much to take. But maybe, just maybe, there is a way to escape before it's too late...

As Captain Cousteau's dire predictions of environmental catastrophe move ever closer to reality—glaciers melting, the sea poisoned and on fire, the air noxious and the water rising—Amy Birkenstock assumes a new identity in a new world where time and space have little meaning and where ideas are the means of all commerce.

Is it possible to live in a world where money is obsolete and creativity rules supreme?

In a world where social injustice is but a distant memory?

A world where the environment is cherished and protected and people exist in harmony and peace? For Amy Birkenstock (aka Fizzy Oceans) the answer is obvious...

THE VIRTUAL LIFE OF FIZZY OCEANS by David A. Ross is a novel that challenges our core notions about identity, time and space, life and death, religion, faith, creativity and potential. It renders a dire prediction for a world driven by greed and avarice, and offers an escape route into a world where ideas are the commerce that support the Human Endeavor.
